Our vision is to see a society with child friendly communities in which every parent has the support they need to provide their children with a safe, loving and nurturing environment.
Home-Start programs are embedded in the communities they service and have a proven, lasting and positive impact on the development of children and the health and welfare of families.

We provide free professional and volunteer support to vulnerable families in their homes and communities, who are struggling to cope, with a focus on families with children under 8 years.

Our professional Family and Domestic Violence Workers are flexible to the needs of their community and promote safety and wellbeing. Home-Start programs are also auspiced through a number of organisations in Victoria.

We also support a highly trained team of volunteers who provide weekly practical and emotional support to individual families in their homes and help them form strong connections to their local community.

Our aim is to encourage parents’ strengths, treat every family with dignity and respect, and build emotional wellbeing and confidence for happier, healthier families.

Our key priorities are vulnerable children and parents who are experiencing disadvantage due to:
– socio/economic distress
– domestic/family or sexual violence
– isolation
– disabilities
– poor mental health
– lack of regular support as a parent
– poor child nutrition or child obesity
