Institute for Collaborative Race Research (ICRR) is putting research to work for communities, grounded in Indigenous sovereignty and solidarity. We lead anti-racist work that builds, sustains and celebrates the power of communities fighting the foundational structures of racial violence and colonialism.
ICRR creates tools that cut through colonial fictions about race in this place, drawing links between interconnected struggles to support anti-colonial resistance and direct us towards collective liberation.
We do this through a range of intellectual and community work, including community-led research, expert reports, community education events, public commentary, resources and other forms of knowledge sharing.
ICRR is proudly independent, we do not rely on funding from any institution, university or government. This gives us the freedom to tell the truth about race and do work that is loyal to Black communities and groups committed to anti-racist action.
