Addiction affects far more than one person; it ripples through entire families and communities. While government-funded services focus primarily on supporting individuals living with addiction, Joseph’s Corner was created to care for the often-forgotten others; the parents, partners, children, and friends whose lives are also turned upside down.
Founded in Melbourne’s western suburbs, Joseph’s Corner exists to bring hope, understanding, and healing to families impacted by a loved one’s addiction. We know that addiction doesn’t just cause dependency, it can lead to deep emotional pain, mental health struggles, financial hardship, relationship breakdown, and isolation.
We’re one of only two organisations in Melbourne’s West dedicated to supporting families in this way. In a region with a population of 1.9 million, and with one in four Australians experiencing addiction at some point in their lives, the need for compassionate, accessible support is urgent and growing.
Since opening our doors, Joseph’s Corner has helped more than 1,600 individuals and families across Melbourne’s West and North-West. Every number represents a story of courage and recovery. At Joseph’s Corner, we believe that when families are supported, healing is possible, not just for one person, but for everyone.
