Organisation Summary

Koomarri is the longest serving disability specialist organisation in the Canberra community. We were established almost 75 years ago by two local mums wanting better support for their sons with disability. Koomarri has now grown to help hundreds of people and their families across Canberra and Queanbeyan. Our mission is simple – for people with intellectual disability to live their life goals, dreams and aspirations. We provide essential supports to people across all live domains from in home accommodation supports, individual and group skills development to gaining and maintaining meaningful paid employment.
