Leukaemia Support Qld is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the care and cure of patients and families living with leukaemias, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders. This care includes the provision of ‘home away from home’ accomodation near major treatment centres, information and emotional support, education and support programs, transportation to and from hospital, all free of charge.
Every 29 minutes, an Australian is diagnosed with a blood cancer, and every 57 minutes, an Australian loses their life to blood cancer. 132,000 Australians are living with leukaemias, lymphomas, or myeloma, and 57 Australians will be told today that they have a blood cancer. Our mission is for all Australians and their families living with blood cancer to feel cared for and ultimately find a cure for.
