Life Ed NSW/ACT

Life Ed NSW’s mission to empower children and young people to make safer and healthier choices through education, and a vision of healthy Australians living to their full potential. Through evidence-based, curriculum-aligned programs delivered by more than 120 specialist educators, Life Ed supports children and young people aged 3–17 to build the skills and confidence needed to thrive.

Life Ed addresses critical issues affecting children and young people, including mental health challenges, bullying, online safety, vaping and substance use, unhealthy lifestyle habits, child protection, and respectful relationships. Our programs are delivered through mobile learning centres, pop-up classrooms, schools and online platforms, ensuring equitable access for metropolitan, regional and disadvantaged communities.

Our current priorities are expanding access to preventative health education, strengthening early intervention programs, supporting schools with emerging issues such as vaping and online harms, and increasing our impact through evidence-based evaluation and community partnerships. Life Ed’s programs are evaluated and demonstrate measurable outcomes. Life Ed NSW delivers programs to over 280,000 students with results showing strong improvements in emotional wellbeing, respectful relationships, online safety and drug and alcohol awareness.

Funding will support the delivery and expansion of Life Ed’s preventative education programs, enabling more children and families to access high-quality health and wellbeing education that creates lifelong positive outcomes.
