Organisation Summary

Lifeline Loddon Mallee provides a lifeline to those in distress in Loddon Mallee, with a range of crisis and suicide prevention services that strengthen our community and offer hope.

Lifeline Loddon Mallee is a one of 41 independently operated Lifeline centres across Australia. We operate crisis support Call Centres in both Bendigo and Mildura, answering 22,000 calls from people in crisis. We deliver a range of community programs, such as counselling, training and critical incident response to support the communities of the Loddon Mallee.

Since 2021, our services have grown substantially, providing the 13 11 14 crisis line and a range of community programs, such as counselling, training and critical incident response. We have:
– Grown volunteer numbers from 55 to over 100
– Increased crisis calls taken by 51%
– Expanded from 2 to 14 full-time equivalent staff
– Provided access to 1,383 hours of in-person counselling annually
– Opened two social enterprise Lifeline Loddon Mallee Thrift Stores in Bendigo
– Delivered over 80 days of mental health awareness training programs
– Supported 12 communities through critical incidents as part of the Disaster Recovery and Critical Incident Response Team Program
