Loved & Shared is a volunteer-led children’s essentials hub based in South West Victoria, supporting families with children from newborn to 16 years. Operating for over three years and powered by more than 30 volunteers, we work in partnership with maternal and child health services, social workers and community agencies to provide essential items to families, free of charge.
We ensure families have access to practical items such as clothing, nappies, prams, car seats and cots. These essentials play a critical role in supporting children’s safety, well-being and early development, particularly for families experiencing socio-economic disadvantage, geographic isolation or limited access to resources.
Loved & Shared operates a sustainable, community-driven model by redistributing high-quality donated and new items, reducing financial pressure on families while also diverting usable goods from landfill.
In 2025, we supported 421 families and 706 children, delivering over 2,080 essential packs across the region. We also diverted more than 10 tonnes of children’s items from landfill, demonstrating strong community engagement and environmental impact.
Demand for our service continues to grow as cost-of-living pressures increase. Loved & Shared plays a vital role in ensuring children across South West Victoria have equitable access to essential items, supporting families to care for their children safely and with dignity.
