Mary’s House Services was founded in 2015-16 by a dedicated group of residents from Sydney’s northern suburbs. The Mary’s House refuge was established to address the significant gap in government funded services and to save lives in the region by providing support for women and children impacted by domestic and family violence. Our professional services now encompass comprehensive case management by specialised domestic and family violence social workers and secure accommodation for up to four women and their children at a time. As of May 2025, we have provided over 15,000 nights’ accommodation at Mary’s House refuge.
In 2020 as an extension to our refuge, Mary’s House Services opened the doors of the Community Program Centre offering women who are victim-survivors of domestic and family violence a suite of therapeutic and wellbeing programs to assist them in their journey away from abusive relationships. This community program centre also provides a location for our specialised social workers to provide their services to women living in the community.
Demands for domestic and family violent services continue to grow, and the donations from the community make a direct impact on the lives of women and children under the critical care of Mary’s House Services.
