The Men and Family Centre has been running Men’s Behaviour Change Programs since 1993, and is one of only a handful of organisations in NSW registered to run these highly-specialised programs.
The Centre also:
– provides advocacy and support for victim/survivors of domestic and family violence;
– runs community-based primary prevention programs to address the underlying drivers of gendered violence; and
– provides training and support services to other organisations involved in domestic violence response and prevention.
The Men and Family Centre is a professional team of men and women who primarily work to end male violence against women and children. This involves challenging traditional masculinities that are often based on concepts of status, power, strength, avoidance of emotional expression, ownership and control.
