Organisation Summary

Multicultural Communities Council of Illawarra (MCCI) was formed in 1975 as Australia’s first regional peak body for multicultural associations. Our vision is for a cohesive multicultural society that embraces, celebrates, and values diversity within our community.

Representing over 60 diaspora associations, MCCI provides a range of multidisciplinary community services to migrants, former refugees, and the established generations of multicultural communities in the Illawarra & South Coast of NSW and Canberra.

We support people of all ages and at all stages of their migration and settlement to Australia, focussing on services and programs that promote independence, wellbeing, inclusion, and belonging.
