Heart Foundation’s vision is that heart health will be achievable by everyone in Australia by 2050.

For over 60 years, the Heart Foundation has been the trusted peak body working to improve the prevention, detection, and support of heart disease for all Australians.

While our work has significantly improved survival rates for people experiencing heart attacks and living with heart disease, we won’t be satisfied until heart disease is no longer a threat to any Australian. It remains one of our nation’s biggest killers, claiming 51 lives every day.

Guided by our vision that heart health will be achievable by everyone in Australia by 2050, we continue to harness the knowledge and innovation of leading researchers and health professionals, alongside the passion of our supporters and the generosity of millions of Australians, by:
– Funding high-impact research to support both emerging and established heart health researchers
– Advocating to governments and industry for greater investment in heart health
– Building awareness and understanding of heart-healthy living through public campaigns and accessible resources
– Supporting health professionals in preventing, diagnosing, treating, and managing heart disease.
