Ngarra Aboriginal Corporation is a newly established, Aboriginal-led organisation based in Raymond Terrace, NSW, dedicated to strengthening families, healing trauma, and creating safer communities. Our mission is to deliver culturally grounded, trauma-informed programs that support Aboriginal men, boys, and families to break cycles of violence, build emotional wellbeing, and reconnect with culture.
Addressing critical issues such as family violence, intergenerational trauma, and social disadvantage by combining neuroscience, cultural knowledge, and therapeutic support. As a First Nations-led organisation with deep community connections, Ngarra is uniquely placed to engage Aboriginal families in ways that are safe, respectful, and effective. Our governance reflects cultural integrity, and our programs are co-designed with Elders and community to ensure they meet local needs.
Our current priorities include:
- Delivering the Healing Strong Program (domestic violence and anger management).
- Establishing the Families Together Program to strengthen family preservation and support.
- Providing Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) recovery and culturally safe therapeutic supports.
- Building capacity for Aboriginal employment and leadership in service delivery.
