Parramatta Mission
Field of Interest
- Housing and homelessness
- Individual/family services and support
Target Population
- People experiencing or at risk of homelessness
- People experiencing socio-economic disadvantage or vulnerability
Parramatta Mission supports vulnerable and disadvantaged people across Greater Western Sydney. Guided by our vision of ‘a community transforming lives’, we deliver holistic programs across four sites that respond to both immediate needs and long-term challenges. Our work addresses food insecurity, homelessness, and social isolation.
We deliver:
- Immediate Needs – food and hygiene
- Connection – guests to onsite support services
- Facilitation – collaboration between services and guests
- Education.
There has been a 30% increase in demand for services in 2024/25 in response to the deepening housing and cost-of-living crises. The social housing wait-time in Parramatta is still over 10 years.
At the heart of our work for the past 50 years is Meals Plus, a holistic program offering meals and essential services. In 2024–25, we delivered 81,288 meals, 5,801 food parcels and 10,000 items of material aid.
Funding will optimise this early success and realise our vision – for Meals Plus and the Hub Days to become a true Community Hub — open daily, with meals and multiple support services.
