The Pelvic Pain Foundation of Australia (PPFA) is a national health promotion charity dedicated to improving the lives of people living with pelvic pain. Our mission is to increase awareness, understanding, and effective management of pelvic pain through education, research, and collaboration.
PPFA delivers the wonderful PPEP Talk® (Periods, Pain and Endometriosis Program), which provides medically accurate, age-appropriate education to teens across Australia. The program helps young people understand what’s normal, recognise when pain isn’t, and know how to seek help early. Since its launch, PPEP Talk® has reached over 150,000 students in metropolitan, regional, and remote schools.
We also provide professional education for health practitioners, particularly general practitioners, to ensure that young people and adults who seek care are met by informed, skilled clinicians.
By connecting youth education with improved clinical knowledge and system advocacy, PPFA works to reduce the personal, social, and economic impact of pelvic pain and endometriosis. Our programs are evidence-based, community-focused, and delivered by a multidisciplinary team of educators and clinicians committed to long-term change.
