Organisation Summary

Positive Aid is an Australian-made NGO committed to improving people’s health at the grassroots level in Africa. We partner with Kenyan community-based organisations to implement high-priority projects, including HIV/AIDS, Maternal, Newborn & Child Health (MNCH), and Health Literacy. We focus on sustainable, low-tech solutions that make a tangible and lasting impact on people’s lives.

Positive Aid has strong insight and know-how in what we do, with extensive experience in the communities we work. We realise the importance of local collaboration and participation in making real change, and our approach to development ensures we leave only a positive impact.

Funding Positive Aid projects assures tangible results on the ground and accountability throughout all levels. Administration costs are kept to a minimum to maximise the proportion of funds that reach the ground. And our innovative designs are leading other NGOs and the government – especially in terms of the use of local language, long-term volunteer retention, and our dynamic methods of linking hard-to-reach populations to medical care and treatment. Positive Aid projects work and are unmatched in terms of cost-benefit.
