Possible Dreams International is a non-profit organisation which partners with rural and remote communities in the Kingdom of Eswatini (Swaziland), Southern Africa to empower families and individuals living with extreme poverty, malnutrition and endemic disease.
PDI is supported by the local Australian community, volunteers and corporate sponsors and works in 32 remote and rural areas of Eswatini to empower families and individuals, we are united in our belief in the dignity of every human life.
Our projects across Eswatini include:
- Building permanent, secure houses for vulnerable elderly people, women and children orphaned by AIDS.
- Providing hospital transport, hospital treatment/admission, maternal and child health support, and/or medications for very ill and/or poor adults or children.
- Funding microenterprises to enable people to generate an income and become self-sufficient.
- Farming project in Sitsatsaweni for cultivation of basic crops (eg. maize, beans and vegetables) to support the sustainability of the soup kitchen and emergency food relief.
- Employing local people to build pit latrines (toilets) and provide sanitation education to reduce the burden of disease.
- Funding a child’s education including cost of school fees, uniforms, bus fares etc.
