Rainbow Giving Australia stands as the nation’s LGBTQIA+ community foundation, bridging the critical gap between community need and philanthropic support. Born from the strategic merger of The Aurora Group and GiveOUT in November 2024, we champion community-led solutions through targeted funding, skills development, and sector intelligence.
Australia’s LGBTQIA+ sector faces a stark funding reality, organisations receive merely five cents from every $100 in philanthropic giving. This disparity leaves frontline organisations, those fighting for equal rights, expanding service access, and delivering essential community support severely under-resourced. Nearly half of Australia’s LGBTQIA+ organisations operate on annual budgets below $10,000, constraining their capacity to create meaningful change.
Through strategic funding allocation and sector development, Rainbow Giving Australia empowers organisations to address our communities’ most pressing challenges.
