Too many young people in Australia are experiencing mental illness, disengagement from education, loneliness, unemployment, bullying, and family breakdown. Unfortunately, many young people lack strong social connections and find it hard to see a positive future.

At Raise Foundation, we believe this is not okay, and that it is within our collective power to address these urgent social problems.

Raise Foundation is Australia’s leading youth mentoring organisation. We create thriving communities by delivering mentoring programs prioritising younger students in public secondary schools, who are most at risk of disengagement or poor wellbeing. We provide early intervention, evidence-based mentoring with trained and trusted, independent adults.

Our evaluation demonstrates impact through statistically significant improvements in 4 key areas including – School Engagement, Asking for help, resilience and hope for the future.

Following a Dept of Health funded Independent Evaluation, Raise provides a $4.37 Social Return on Investment in avoided costs to the welfare system for every $1 invested.

Raise significantly improves youth wellbeing by connecting trained and trusted mentors with every young person in Australia who needs one, so that young people can thrive through adolescence, believe in themselves and others, and are equipped with tools for life.
