RANZCOG Women’s Health Foundation

The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) trains and accredits doctors in the specialties of obstetrics and gynaecology, so that they can provide the highest standards of healthcare. Our vision is excellence and equity in women’s health, and our purpose is to lead in education and training in obstetrics and gynaecology, and advocacy in women’s health.

The RANZCOG Women’s Health Foundation supports the philanthropic initiatives of RANZCOG in First Nations and Māori women’s health, Global Women’s Health and Women’s Health research and study.

We do this through:

• Recognising and supporting women’s health researchers annually, in particular young researchers, through offering scholarships and grants, and enabling some to pursue international research opportunities at world-leading institutions.
• Assisting RANZCOG’s aim to increase the number of Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and Māori trainees and specialists, by providing assistance to trainees experiencing financial difficulty, which helps achieve health equity and better outcomes for our diverse communities.
• Building the capacity of the O&G and women’s global health workforce through supporting Pacific partners to attend professional development in Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand, and through supporting our doctors to work in countries with limited resources.

With support we can impact the health and wellbeing of women and girls now and into the future, in Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand and across the Pacific.
