Riding for people with a disability is both therapeutic and recreational and Riding for the Disabled (RSA NSW) is one of the few organisations to offer a multi- diagnostic service, catering for people with a wide range of disabilities.
The objectives of RDA (NSW) are to encourage, support and assist centres to provide riding therapy, sport, recreation, connections, training and safety programs for people with disabilities. RDA (NSW) offers horse riding, carriage driving, dressage, mounted games and Equine Facilitated Mental Health and Learning (EFMH&L) and caters for people with physical, intellectual and psychosocial disabilities.
RDA (NSW) currently has 31 centres spread throughout NSW with 90% of centres based in regional areas. The centres cater for 1,042 riders annually and are supported by our volunteers.
