We acknowledge the connection between human welfare, and animal welfare. We believe in the concept of ‘One Welfare’. It considers mental, emotional and physical health. In practice, this concept calls for veterinarians and related human and animal services to collaborate and share expertise to improve the welfare of our communities and our animal companions.

Therefore, we deliver holistic solutions that consider the needs of people and their pets.

– targeted service delivery in key underserved communities, like access to veterinary care in remote areas

In turn, our support services help prevent cruelty before it can occur.

Without access to RSPCA NSW services, animals may suffer – caught in the cross-hairs of violence, stranded during floods, or unable to receive yearly vaccinations when their local vet is 200km away.

RSPCA NSW recognises how valued our services are to both pet guardians and compassionate animal lovers who fund our mission.

Our specialised impact reports consider social, economic, and environmental factors to calculate the long-term impact of our work. For every $1 invested in protecting the human and animal bond during crises, $8 is reinvested into the community. For every $1 toward outreach in underserved communities, $3 is saved in costs associated with a pet owner surrendering their pet due to lack of access to veterinary care.
