Organisation Summary

Saving Animals from Euthanasia (SAFE) is WA’s largest foster-care based animal rescue and rehoming organisation. SAFE is leading the shift away from the old shelter model of confining animals in cages to home-based care of animals awaiting adoption. Commencing in Karratha, SAFE currently comprises a network of eleven branches around Western Australia, adopting animals across the state and around the country. Since its inception, SAFE has saved over 14,000 animals and has on average 400 animals in its care every month, enabled by the support of over 250 volunteers.
