Saltwater Country is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to empowering and mobilizing the connection of Aboriginal people to land, horses, and stockmanship pride above the 26th parallel in Australia.

Key Initiatives:

– Saltwater Country Broome, Boston and BEYOND: Saltwater County is currently seeking assistance to attend Harvard to share its innovation approach to self-determination and has a project team coming to Broome, WA from Harvard who have partnered to work on the reestablishment of the event back into market and an overall growth strategy.

– RHYTHM+RIDE Events: Organizes events such as rodeos, campdrafts, and country music festivals to celebrate and promote Indigenous culture and community engagement.​

– Saltwater Academy: Offers programs including Western sports clinics for various age groups, empowerment initiatives like ‘Saltwater Eats’ and ‘Saltwater Stories,’ business financial literacy workshops, and agribusiness programs aimed at future-proofing Indigenous stations.​
The flagship program of Saltwater Academy is the ‘Crossroads Knowledge Highway’ that enables First Nation people to gain project management experience through hands-on training and development.

– Saltwater Stories: An initiative that provides a platform for Indigenous youth in remote Australia to share their perspectives, culminating in the publication of a coffee table book showcasing their creative works.​
