Speak & Share

Speak & Share is a preventative mental health charity dedicated to creating a world where conversations about mental health are as normal as conversations about physical health. Founded in 2021 on the Mornington Peninsula, our mission is to reduce stigma through education, connection and early intervention, empowering people to seek support before they reach crisis point.

Mental ill-health affects one in five Australians each year, yet many people still don’t feel comfortable talking about their struggles or know how to support others. Speak & Share addresses this gap by delivering engaging, evidence-informed workshops and community initiatives that build emotional literacy, encourage vulnerability and strengthen social connection.

Our programs are delivered in primary and secondary schools, workplaces, sporting clubs and community settings, equipping participants with practical tools to navigate challenges and foster supportive environments. In 2025, we delivered 104 workshops, reaching more than 6,250 people across Victoria and beyond.

Our current priorities are expanding our school-based preventative mental health programs, increasing access to subsidised workshops for communities experiencing financial disadvantage, growing our reach into regional areas, and strengthening our impact measurement to ensure our programs continue delivering meaningful outcomes.

Funding will directly support the delivery of additional workshops, the development of educational resources, and the expansion of our community initiatives, allowing us to reach more people with preventative mental health education. By investing in early intervention, we aim to create communities where people feel connected, supported and confident to have conversations that could change or even save a life.
