The Deli Women's & Children's Centre

The Deli Women & Children’s Centre is a community-based organisation providing practical, emotional and social support to women and children experiencing hardship, isolation, domestic and family violence, housing insecurity, financial stress and other life challenges.

Their vision is for women and children in the community to feel safe, supported, connected and empowered. Their mission is to provide a welcoming, non-judgemental place where women can access help, build confidence, strengthen wellbeing and connect with the services and community around them.

The Deli Women & Children’s Centre responds to the growing need for accessible, local and trauma-informed support for women and families who may otherwise fall through the gaps. Many women come to The Deli at moments of crisis or transition, needing practical help, emotional support and someone who will listen without judgement. The Deli team are well-placed to do this work because of their strong local relationships, community trust, volunteer network and long-standing commitment to women and children in the area.

Their current priorities include strengthening casework and counselling support, expanding food and emergency relief, improving referral pathways, supporting children and families, and building programs that reduce isolation and increase confidence, safety and connection.

Funding will directly support frontline services, emergency relief, counselling access, community programs, operational sustainability and the resources needed to respond to increasing demand. With the right support, The Deli Women & Children’s Centre can continue to provide timely, practical and compassionate help to women and children when they need it most.
