Organisation Summary

The Strong Side is an online platform that connects victim-survivors of sexual violence with the best available resources, as well as having original content that helps them navigate the long term effects of trauma.

The Strong Side is needed because there are many diverse resources available to victim-survivors that each address critical areas of the journey of healing, such as forensic or mental health, but no clear road-map to show those who wish to access them or how they fit together. We are that road-map. In addition to providing this service, we are a hub for advice and community discussion, and an advocacy group for systematic change in the area.

We have a unique online platform with an intuitive resource navigator, and original content to help victim-survivors with their recovery from trauma.

Funding will support our platform to reach those who need it most, and expand our resource base to cover the whole of Australia. In addition, it will help our key expansion of feedback to resources to help them improve, and improve well-being for all victim-survivors and their support people.
