Trees For Life is dedicated to restoring and protecting South Australia’s bushland, farmland, and urban landscapes. Our mission is to protect native vegetation and enhance the resilience of existing native ecosystems. We accomplish this through practical, community-driven projects, with the commitment of long-term volunteers and staff. Our extensive local knowledge allows Trees For Life to raise awareness of native biodiversity and empower individuals to take meaningful action. Community involvement is central to our success, with volunteers, members, and donors working together to achieve lasting, positive environmental outcomes.

We support rural landholders through targeted initiatives such as the Tree Scheme, Paddock Tree Project and direct seeding, restoring native vegetation on farms and improving soil health, biodiversity, and landscape function. These efforts build resilience and adaptability, ensuring a stronger future for South Australia’s environment, community and economy.
Our efforts have protected over 4,000 hectares of bushland across more than 300 sites within South Australia. Since records began, we have also grown over 35 million native trees throughout South Australia. Our Seed Bank conserves 408 native plant species, enabling regionally appropriate revegetation.

Today, our 2,000 active volunteer supporters continue to restore biodiversity, strengthen landscapes, and support a healthier environment for future generations.
