Welcome to Country is a First Nations-led and operated not-for-profit social enterprise dedicated to creating economic independence and empowerment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Through a combination of retail, tourism, cultural engagement, and business development initiatives, Welcome to Country supports First Nations entrepreneurs, artists, creators, and tourism operators to access new markets, grow sustainable businesses, and strengthen cultural and economic outcomes for their communities.

Established to address the barriers faced by First Nations businesses in accessing mainstream markets, Welcome to Country operates a national marketplace that connects consumers and corporate buyers with authentic Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander products, experiences, and services. The organisation currently works with approximately 200 First Nations suppliers and operators across Australia, returning revenue directly to communities while promoting ethical purchasing and cultural integrity.

Beyond commerce, Welcome to Country delivers programs and initiatives that build business capability, create employment pathways, increase financial literacy, and support long-term enterprise growth. This includes the development of innovative models such as the Product Development Fund, which provides accessible capital and support to First Nations businesses seeking to scale their operations.

As a registered charity with deductible gift recipient status, Welcome to Country reinvests its resources into programs that create lasting social, cultural, and economic impact.
