Wentworth District Community Medical Centre

We are a skilled based volunteer board with critical experience in rural health service delivery. We operate a NFP entity established in 2019 when our localities two (2) medical clinics closed. Our LGA has many health indicators that are worse than ‘the rest of NSW’ (NSW Health statistics). In December 2022 we purchased a shell building for stage one (1) of our three (3) stage project. Throughout 2023 we refashioned and fitted-out the building into a medical clinic with two (2) consulting rooms, a treatment room, patient and staff amenities. In February 2024 we opened the community owned medical centre with GP services. We are now commencing stage two (2) and require additional floor space. This requires the purchase of an adjoining building, and fit-out for Pathology, Mental Health and Allied Health Services.

WDCMC Vision Statement:
Wentworth will have a fit for purpose contemporary community owned medical centre that accommodates full time local doctors, pathology, dental and allied health clinicians providing health and related services to our community.

Mission Statement:
The Wentworth District Community Medical Centre establishment group will engage and work with community, medical providers, all levels of government and other stakeholders to progress our vision in a timely manner.
The key focus is attracting and retaining service providers to our small rural community in a model that meets the community’s health needs and demographics, is attractive to providers, and one that sits within a framework that is financially sound and sustainable to ensure success and longevity.
