Women's Cancer Support

Women’s Cancer Support Inc. is a community based, not for profit organisation dedicated to supporting women who are experiencing cancer, from diagnosis through treatment and into recovery or survivorship. Our vision is that no woman faces cancer alone. Our mission is to provide practical, emotional and social support that improves quality of life and reduces isolation for women affected by cancer.

Women with cancer often experience fear, loneliness, financial stress and a loss of confidence, particularly during treatment and recovery. Many fall through the gaps between medical care and everyday support. Women’s Cancer Support Inc. addresses this issue by offering peer support, information, wellbeing activities and practical assistance in a safe and welcoming environment where women feel understood and supported.

We are best placed to do this work because our organisation is led by women with lived experience of cancer, supported by trained volunteers and community partners. This ensures our services are compassionate, relevant and responsive to real needs.

Our current priorities include delivering regular support groups, providing care packs and practical resources, facilitating wellbeing and education sessions, and strengthening volunteer engagement. Funding will directly support these activities, including program delivery, essential resources and volunteer recognition, enabling us to reach more women and maintain consistent support.

Our impact is demonstrated through strong participation in our programs, positive feedback from women who report feeling less isolated and more empowered, and ongoing community demand for our services.
