Women's Shed Central Coast (NSW)

Women’s Shed Central Coast (WSCC) is a not-for-profit community organisation creating inclusive, welcoming spaces where women can connect, learn, and feel supported. Established to address social isolation and wellbeing challenges experienced by women across the Central Coast, WSCC provides safe, low-pressure environments that foster belonging, confidence, and peer connection.

Through hands-on workshops, shared activities, and informal social opportunities, WSCC supports women’s mental and social wellbeing by encouraging participation, skill-sharing, and meaningful relationships. Our programs are intentionally accessible and affordable, welcoming women of all ages, backgrounds, and life stages including those experiencing isolation, caring responsibilities, financial stress, or major life transitions.

WSCC operates from two community locations and is entirely volunteer-led, with strong local partnerships and a growing community of members who support one another both inside and outside the shed. The act of creating together, whether building, crafting, learning, or simply sharing a conversation helps reduce loneliness, build resilience, and strengthen community ties.

By prioritising connection over productivity, and wellbeing over perfection, WSCC plays a vital role in improving social inclusion and emotional health for women across the region. Our work contributes to stronger, more connected communities where women feel seen, valued, and empowered to participate fully in community life.
