Women’s Welfare Australia (WWA) is working towards a safe, inclusive, and equitable Australia where all women and girls can thrive, regardless of their background.

We are committed to empowering vulnerable culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) women and girls – including refugees and migrants – to overcome challenges and build strong, connected futures through vital support services, tailored programs, capacity-building opportunities and impactful resources.

The Challenge We Address:
CALD women and girls face significant barriers to safety, education, employment and social inclusion. Many are navigating trauma, language and cultural obstacles, isolation or systemic disadvantage. These challenges often leave them without access to the necessary services or opportunities to thrive.

Why WWA?:
WWA is a community-led charity grounded in lived experience. Our team of CALD women, community leaders and professionals delivers culturally safe, trauma-informed support to CALD women and girls who are often overlooked.

Our Current Priorities:
– Safety and Support: Emergency relief support and community wellbeing programs.
– Education and Employment: Mentorship, scholarships, life skills workshops and career pathways.
– Inclusion and Belonging: Women’s circles, youth leadership and community events that foster connection and reduce isolation.
– Strategic Growth: Securing a physical hub for services and scaling impact.

You can help us reach more women and girls.

Funding will help us:
– Provide more intensive support to women experiencing violence or isolation.
– Expand our mentorship and scholarship programs to reach more CALD youth and launch community-led initiatives that promote healing and connection.
– Establish a safe, culturally welcoming hub (Harmony House) for women and girls.
