The World Mosquito Program (WMP) is a not-for-profit initiative owned by Monash University, Australia, dedicated to protecting communities worldwide from mosquito-borne viral diseases such as dengue, chikungunya, Zika, and yellow fever.
Using our proven Wolbachia method, we work with partners across Asia, Oceania, and the Americas to reduce disease transmission. After achieving major success in Australia, WMP now protects nearly 13.5 million people in 15 countries.
Our approach is safe, self-sustaining, non-GMO, and cost-effective. It’s backed by communities, governments, researchers, and philanthropic partners around the world. Through collaboration and innovation, we’re making a measurable impact, saving lives and strengthening public health.
Your support helps us expand this life-saving work. Donations can be targeted to specific country projects, such as Laos, Vietnam, Kiribati, Vanuatu, Fiji, New Caledonia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Honduras, El Salvador, Brazil, or projects that are in planning, such as the Philippines.
