Organisation Summary

YADA – Young Adults Disabled Association is a not-for-profit organisation and NDIS registered provider supporting adults aged 18+ with disabilities across South-West Sydney. Established in 1980, YADA creates inclusive opportunities that help people with disability build confidence, independence, friendships and a genuine sense of belonging through meaningful social and community participation.

Our vision is to build an inclusive society where people with disability can live the life they choose with dignity, equal rights and community connection. We support people who often experience social isolation, limited transport options, and barriers to participating in community life.

For over 40 years, YADA has provided safe and inclusive programs including centre-based activities, community outings, discos, holidays, transport support, and social events. Our programs help participants build friendships, improve well-being, increase confidence, and develop greater independence.

YADA’s current priorities include maintaining accessible transport services, reducing social isolation, expanding community participation opportunities, and improving resources that support participant engagement and inclusion.

Funding received through Australian Communities Foundation will directly support YADA’s disability programs and services, including transport, outings, activities, and resources that improve accessibility, wellbeing and social connection for adults with disabilities.

YADA has built a strong reputation within the Fairfield and Liverpool communities through decades of volunteer-led support, positive participant outcomes, and long-standing community partnerships. Participants and families consistently report increased confidence, stronger friendships, improved well-being, and a greater sense of belonging through YADA’s programs.
