Young People Australia (YAP) is a youth-led, community-based organisation founded and operated by residents of Melbourne’s public housing estates and multicultural communities. We work to empower young people aged 16–25, particularly those facing barriers to employment, education, and social engagement.
Our programs are co-designed with the communities we serve, ensuring they are relevant, culturally responsive, and grounded in lived experience. As an organisation with deep, longstanding ties to the Flemington public housing precincts, YAP brings trusted relationships with local residents, families, and young people. We have a proven track record in co-delivering initiatives that address housing, employment, mental health, and cultural inclusion.
