Project Summary
“Connect and Thrive: Building Community Together” is an initiative by Seville Community House aimed at combating social isolation and loneliness within the Seville community. Recognizing the impact of these issues on well-being, the project provides ongoing social spaces where individuals can connect, engage, and build meaningful relationships.
The project includes:
– Weekly Coffee and Chat Space for Parents/Caregivers: This group offers a welcoming environment for parents and caregivers from the primary school to come together, share experiences, and form supportive networks.
– Quarterly Self-Care Group for Carers: Focused on those who care for others, this group meets quarterly to provide a space for relaxation, self-care, and peer support, helping carers manage their responsibilities and maintain their well-being.
– Weekly Hangout Space for High School Students: Aimed at providing a safe and fun environment, this group gives high school students a space to socialize, connect with peers and reduce feelings of isolation.
Through these regular gatherings, ” Connect and Thrive” seeks to create a stronger, more connected community where no one feels isolated or alone. By offering structured opportunities for social interaction, the project addresses the pressing issues of loneliness and isolation, enriching lives and fostering a sense of belonging in Seville.
