Yahweh House
Yahweh House's main purpose is to provide a safe place for pregnant women who are broken, unsupported, scared, homeless, or without support and needing a safe place to stay for the duration of their pregnancy
Our purpose:
Provide - To provide a place for pregnant women in our community who need support or accommodation for the duration of their pregnancy
Home - The home is for women of any age or culture for the time they need, whether it be a week or several months
Support - We offer ongoing support to a mother and her child after the birth of their baby for up to six months
Values - Yahweh House is a home with Christian values, aiming initially to service Northern NSW & Gold Coast regions.
Project Summary
We need to acquire a home for these pregnant women, babies and young children. There is nothing in this area and unfortunately there are many women in this situation due to DV or some other situation.
We get calls from individuals all around Australia and homeless agencies, doctors, hospitals etc. The old abortion clinic at 127 wharf st is up for sale for 2.5 million which would be great converted into rooms for these women.
Project Outcomes
To get some of these women into a safe place, help pass on skills to those who need them, and save many babies being taken by Child Protection, or women just aborting because they have no hope and see no other option.
