Project Summary
We are currently working on aged and failing devices that have been in the organisation from before any of the current team members. As we are trying to develop and grow the organisation the current laptops are holding us back with the majority upable to update from the current operating platforms. The Laptops no longer hold charge without being connected to a power source and a complex excel sheet with formulas sometimes grind things to a holt.
Project Outcomes
With the investment in 8 Lenovo laptops, warrenty Windows 11 pro and screens we would be able to update and improve the office space. We would safely be able to work away form our desks and maximise working times at the locations we support families on truly mobile devices. There would be no loss of time to blue screen crashes and no delays waiting for our IT support to swap out one old device for another. We would be able to update our website and social media without efficiently without waiting for resources on the device to be freed up. Our generous IT volunteer has offered to refresh and update all the devices to donate to those we support – as they would still be viable for browsing and learning and closing the digital gap.
