Olivia's Place Olivia's Place

Olivia’s Place is a community-driven organisation dedicated to supporting families through pregnancy and early parenting. We provide free, non-judgmental support, including material aid, emotional encouragement, and practical guidance to help parents navigate this critical stage of life. Our services ensure that no family feels alone, offering essential baby items, referrals, and a caring space where parents can find connection and reassurance. By empowering families with the resources and support they need, we strengthen the well-being of both parents and children, building a more resilient community- a village for the future. At our heart, we’re a community that cares, walking alongside families with kindness, understanding, and practical help so they can get the best chance in life- to be the one-stop shop for all things pregnancy and parenting.

Project Summary

We need your help to continue supporting families through one of the most challenging and life-changing experiences—welcoming a baby. In the 2024-25 financial year, we anticipate walking alongside 250 families, offering holistic, wraparound care that includes emotional support, practical aid, and connections to specialised services. Every family’s journey is different—some need referrals for mental health care or family violence intervention, while others require urgent material aid such as cots, prams, and nappies. No matter their circumstances, we meet them where they are, ensuring they feel supported and empowered.

To make this possible, we are seeking funding contributions toward our organisational budget. It costs us around $1,200 to provide a full year of individualised care for one family. This includes as many consultations as needed with our Family Support Workers, all delivered under a client-led model. Some families may need extensive material aid worth well over $1,000, while others may not need items at all but instead rely on ongoing emotional support. Our flexible approach ensures each parent gets the right support for their unique situation.

By investing in a family’s future, you’re doing more than providing essentials—you’re giving parents the stability and confidence they need to nurture their child in a safe and supportive environment. Whether through funding a single family’s care or making a larger contribution, your support will help us continue this vital work. Will you stand with us to ensure no family has to face these challenges alone?

Project Outcomes

At Olivia’s Place, we want to make sure that every family we support truly feels the difference. To do that, we listen, learn, and track how our help is making an impact. One of the most important ways we measure this is by hearing directly from families—through conversations, surveys, and personal stories that tell us how our support has helped them feel more confident and less alone.

We also look at the numbers, tracking how many families reach out, what kind of help they need, and how often they come back for support. If parents are successfully connecting with mental health services, housing support, or family violence intervention when needed, we know we’re making a real difference. Our volunteers and community partners also play a key role, and their involvement helps us see how well we’re working together to support families.

Beyond just numbers, we check in with families to understand how their situation has changed—whether they’re feeling more prepared for their baby, less stressed financially, or safer in their home. Every story, every step forward, and every connection made tells us that what we’re doing is working. And when parents tell us they feel stronger, more supported, and ready to take on the journey ahead, we know we’ve done our job.
