Pave the Way – Building RuffTRACK’s Forever Farm

RuffTRACK Ltd is a not-for-profit organisation based in western Sydney, New South Wales, dedicated to transforming the lives of young people who are disengaged from school, facing barriers to employment, or at risk of entering the justice system.

Operating on a working farm, RuffTRACK offers a structured, hands-on learning environment where participants gain real-life skills, develop confidence, and build a sense of belonging. Through programs that combine animal care, trades training, mentoring, and community engagement, young people experience personal growth while contributing positively to society.

Each week, participants work with dogs, livestock, and mentors to learn responsibility, teamwork, and empathy. They also engage in RuffTRACK’s social enterprises, such as LawnLads, FabLads, and Mutley Crew, where they gain work experience and practical business skills. These enterprises help young people understand the value of hard work, financial management, and giving back to their community.

At the heart of RuffTRACK’s mission is a simple but powerful goal: to keep kids alive, out of prison, and skilled up for a secure future. The program nurtures mental health, resilience, and wellbeing through connection—with animals, mentors, and the community.

RuffTRACK’s impact extends far beyond the farm, inspiring young people to take ownership of their future and showing that with the right support, every young person can find their path and purpose.
