Globa Soul
Global Soul delivers frontline support to individuals experiencing homelessness and crisis across Far North Queensland.
The organisation provides dignity-based care through the distribution of essential hygiene packs, clothing, and immediate relief items, while also acting as a gateway to broader support services.
Operating from Cairns, Global Soul works in collaboration with community partners, including Queensland Corrective Services, Thread Together, and GIVIT, to support vulnerable individuals, including women transitioning through the justice system.
Demand for services continues to exceed current operational capacity, with growth constrained by limitations in storage, logistics, and distribution infrastructure.
With appropriate support, Global Soul is positioned to scale its impact significantly, expanding outreach, increasing the number of essential items delivered to those in need, and delivering measurable outcomes for individuals experiencing homelessness and disadvantage.
Project Summary
Global Soul is delivering a structured hygiene pack distribution and outreach program across Far North Queensland, supporting individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
The project provides practical, ready-to-use hygiene packs containing essential items such as toiletries, sanitary products, basic medical supplies, and information cards connecting recipients to local support services.
Beyond immediate relief, the program is designed as a consistent and scalable outreach model that reduces barriers to dignity, health, and service engagement. Many individuals experiencing homelessness face challenges accessing basic hygiene, which impacts physical health, mental well-being, and confidence when seeking employment or support.
Global Soul has already established a working model for assembling and distributing these packs and is now seeking to scale delivery capacity across the region. Funding will enable increased production, improved storage and logistics, and expanded outreach to reach more individuals in need.
Global Soul also partners with national providers such as Thread Together to supply essential clothing, strengthening the overall support provided and extending the impact of each outreach interaction.
The program focuses on dignity, cultural awareness, and practical impact, particularly supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and vulnerable populations in regional areas.
Project Outcomes
The project aims to improve immediate well-being and access to support for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness by providing consistent, high-quality hygiene packs and engaging in outreach.
Expected outcomes include increased access to essential hygiene items, improved personal health and dignity, and a stronger connection to local support services through included resource information.
The program will deliver a measurable increase in the number of hygiene packs distributed across Far North Queensland, with each pack representing a direct intervention in reducing hardship and supporting stability.
The program also leverages partnerships to extend support beyond hygiene, including access to clothing and essential items through established networks such as Thread Together.
Additional outcomes include improved engagement with vulnerable individuals, particularly within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and strengthened partnerships with local service providers.
Success will be measured through the number of packs distributed, outreach interactions, and feedback from community partners and recipients. Over time, the program will contribute to improved health, confidence, and pathways toward longer-term support for individuals in crisis.
