Peninsula Community Housing Inc. Peninsula Community Housing Inc.

Peninsula Community Housing Inc. (PCH) launched in 2020 as a Not-For-Profit Incorporated Association to deliver much needed affordable housing for the Mornington Peninsula. We are a dedicated group of community leaders, many of whom are currently active or recently retired from the construction and development industry.
PCH is ostensibly a not-for-profit construction management business. We utilise our own in-house resources to develop affordable housing concept plans and then use these concepts to source external private and/or sector funding to complete them. PCH can manage and coordinate all the preliminary and construction processes and on completion we look to hand over the day-to-day management of the property to a Community Housing Provider to find and vet residents, then manage their rental agreements on our behalf.
PCH currently has concepts ranging from single small secondary dwellings (up to 60m2) in backyards, small and larger scale managed apartment buildings for 6 to 16 residents, right up to a major development planned on VicRoads land capable of accommodating 180 dwellings.
We offer a professional back-end construction management process to ensure funded projects get completed on time, on budget and to the highest quality possible.
PCH is a current member of Australian Community Housing and is a registered charity holding Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status.
We are seeking donors and/or investors to support and partner our vision to fund the affordable housing our communities so desperately need but are unfortunately unable to deliver on their own.

Project Summary

The housing crisis on the Mornington Peninsula highlights the pressing need for affordable housing solutions. With a significant number of older single women experiencing rental or mortgage stress, then this small second dwelling opportunity provides a safe, private and very affordable accommodation option.

The aim of this project is to purchase prefabricated housing for installation into backyards and farmyards around the Mornington Peninsula. We have had several landowners expressing interest in
offering their land for this style of affordable accommodation and small secondary dwellings at a maximum of 60m2 are ideal for this use. Being modular they can be quickly lifted into position and
connected to the existing property services. Our priority is to make the dwelling private from the main building while also ensuring private and secure access to the street.
