Georges River Life Care

Georges River Life Care is a community-based not-for-profit organisation committed to supporting individuals and families experiencing hardship across the Georges River and Liverpool regions of Sydney. Established to respond to local social needs, Life Care provides practical support, connection, and pathways toward stability and wellbeing.

Our work focuses on supporting people experiencing financial hardship, social isolation, domestic and family violence, housing insecurity, and barriers to employment. Through a combination of direct assistance and community-building programs, Life Care seeks to restore dignity, build resilience, and strengthen community belonging.

Key programs include Community Relief and Emergency Relief, which provide food hampers and practical support to hundreds of households each year; Case Management and Legal Support Clinics, which assist individuals navigating complex challenges; and Community Connect initiatives that create opportunities for connection through shared meals, activities and support networks. Life Care also delivers programs such as ArtsLife, creative workshops, and community events that foster inclusion and wellbeing.

In 2024 alone, the Peakhurst site supported hundreds of casework and emergency relief appointments and distributed thousands of food hampers to local families in need. Life Care works in partnership with local schools, community organisations, businesses, and service providers to ensure support is accessible and responsive to emerging needs.

With a strong volunteer base and deep connections to the local community, Georges River Life Care is committed to delivering compassionate, practical, and sustainable support that strengthens individuals, families, and the broader community.
