Seed Indigenous Youth Climate Network (Seed Mob)

Seed is Australia’s first and only First Nations youth-led climate justice organisation. We are building a movement led by and for First Nations young people to protect our Country, culture, and communities from the causes and impacts of climate change. Our vision will be for a strong and connected network of First Nations young people who will be empowered and leading the fight for climate justice.

Maintaining a non-partisan support for a just transition away from fossil fuels and we will demand investment into First Nations-led climate solutions, ensuring Indigenous leadership will be key in shaping the future of climate action. We’ll work with and advocate for frontline communities to be properly resourced for climate adaptation, mitigation, and preparedness, prioritising Northern Australia.

Indigenous leadership is crucial to addressing the climate crisis. Our people are on the frontlines of its impacts and fossil fuel extraction, and we hold the knowledge and solutions to lead change. With over half of Australia’s Indigenous population under 25, it’s critical to invest in the leadership of those with the most at stake to build solutions that work towards justice for all.
