Organisation Summary

SELLEN is a community managed regional network that has been operating since 2001, partnering with organisations including youth welfare agencies, health and wellbeing agencies and organisations, multicultural agencies, community agencies, young parents, parents of adolescents, government, independent, catholic primary and secondary schools, universities, local businesses, employers, government agencies, the general community and individuals.

The SELLEN is a not-for-profit, charitable organisation that works strategically to build partnerships that broaden the opportunities available for young people (aged 10 to 19) to complete education and transition through school to work, particularly those that are highly vulnerable and disadvantaged.

Our Vision: We believe every young person is entitled to equal access to meaningful education and employment to maximise their potential.

Our Mission: We develop strategies and facilitate initiatives through private, public and community partnerships, to empower young people to engage in education assisting them to achieve smooth transitions and improved life chances.

Our Purpose: To improve educational and employment outcomes for all young people, prioritising vulnerable young people. We will achieve Our Purpose through the facilitation and coordination of partnerships that deliver support to young people (and their families and carers) experiencing poverty, distress or disadvantage within the cities of Greater Dandenong, Casey and Cardinia Shire.
