5FOLD
5FOLD is a community-focused, local run and self funded organisation powered by a strength-based, relational framework. We don’t believe in handouts — we offer a hand up. Our approach is intentional and interconnected, built on the belief that sustainable change happens through genuine relationships, strong foundations, and personalised support.
We live by the saying, “Change isn’t change until it’s changed!” — because real transformation takes time, trust and consistency. That’s why we walk alongside individuals and families to help them grow stronger, build confidence, resilience, self-sufficiency and ultimately break cycles of poverty and disadvantage.
Our work is grounded in what we call the 5FOLD Approach, addressing five essential pillars that uphold stability and dignity for every person: Clothes, Food, Shelter, Support, and Training. These pillars guide all our initiatives, creating a holistic and sustainable model of care that meets real needs and fosters long-term empowerment.
At 5FOLD, we believe people are not programs — people are people. There’s a big difference between putting people in the community and putting community in people.
Together, we’re helping restore hope, rebuild lives and strengthen the fabric of our community from the inside out because 'Community is knowing you are not alone".
Project Summary
Our Breakfast Clubs exist to ensure no child starts their school day hungry. Across multiple school locations, we currently serve around 3,000 nutritious breakfasts each week — creating not just full bellies, but a sense of belonging, consistency, and care for students who need it most.
For many children, these mornings are about more than food. They are a safe place to connect with caring volunteers, start the day with encouragement and build positive routines that support learning and wellbeing. Teachers often tell us that students who attend breakfast club are more settled, attentive and ready to engage, proving that something as simple as a meal can make a profound difference.
Our Breakfast Clubs operate through community partnerships and the generosity of local businesses and donors who help us provide fresh fruit, spreads, bread and cereals each week.
We believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their circumstances and that strong communities begin with meeting basic needs in meaningful ways.
Because when a child starts their day nourished, they are better equipped to learn, grow and dream. And that’s how we begin to break cycles of disadvantage — one breakfast, one smile and one child at a time.
Project Outcomes
Through our Breakfast Clubs, we aim to ensure that every child in our partner schools starts their day nourished, confident and ready to learn. Hunger should never be a barrier to education or wellbeing.
By providing consistent access to healthy breakfasts, we’re working to improve attendance, focus and emotional stability among children who may otherwise begin their day disadvantaged.
Our goal is to see measurable change — increased school participation, stronger engagement in class and a noticeable lift in confidence and connection.
We’ll know we’ve achieved this when teachers report improved readiness to learn, when families express relief knowing their children are cared for and when students themselves arrive each morning with smiles, energy and hope.
Beyond the meal, we are building a culture of community within the school environment. Each breakfast served is an opportunity to strengthen relationships, instil positive habits, and show young people that they matter.
Ultimately, success will look like this: fewer hungry children, greater equality of opportunity and schools that feel more supported because of a united community effort.
We believe that change begins with care and through our Breakfast Clubs, we are creating lasting impact — one meal, one child, and one school at a time.
